to work for the Arthur Murray organization and remained there for many years. While
working at Arthur Murray, I became interested in Spanish Dance and started studying with
Dame Maria del Carmen and was a member of her dance company, Grupo Espana, for 20 years.
During that time, I made numerous television appearances, stage performances with numerous
local and Canadian symphonies and performed with the Michigan Opera Theatre's production
of Carmen. I have coached and choreographed routines for local competitive roller skaters.
I have also performed on stage with Jane Powell and Former First Lady Betty Ford. In
addition to Ballroom and Spanish dancing, I have competed in Native American Powwows,
which are like ballroom competitions, locally and nationally. I continue to pass this
dance tradition to young Native Americans by working with local Indian centers. I also
hope to educate non Native American young people about Native American song, dance and
culture by working via inner city school cultural programs through Omni Arts and Young
Audiences. I was the resident house dancer for 15 years at the now gone, Case de Espana in
Detroit. My guitarist, Garialan Blugraye and myself perform (Flamenco) as a team
called "Fire Rose", and are available for parties or special events. I am
